Focus Areas

Relationships: I am a Marriage and Family Therapist who offers compassionate, relationship-centered care to individuals, couples, children and families. I create a calm, grounded space where clients can slow down, feel understood and begin reconnecting with themselves and the people who matter most. My work is guided by a deep belief in the healing power of safe, supportive relationships and the importance of meeting each client with warmth, curiosity and respect.

Child, Teen & Family Counseling: With a background spanning education, developmental support, and community mental health, I work closely with families navigating transitions, parenting challenges and relational stress. I use play therapy and child-centered approaches to help children and teens express themselves while supporting parents in strengthening connection and understanding within the family system.

Anxiety, Depression & Trauma-Related Concerns: I work with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, PTSD, childhood trauma and attachment injuries. I help clients explore how past experiences impact present relationships and emotional well-being, supporting healing, resilience and a greater sense of balance and peace.

Approach

I bring a calming, grounded and heart-led presence to the therapy space. My approach is holistic, relational and tailored to each client, blending evidence-based practices with authentic human connection. I work from a systemic lens, recognizing how relationships, family dynamics and broader life contexts shape emotional health.

My style is open, direct, experiential, and culturally responsive. I integrate Emotional Focused Therapy (EFT), the Gottman Method and Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy (EFIT) to help clients deepen emotional awareness, repair attachment wounds and build secure, meaningful connections. Humor, curiosity and warmth are intentionally woven into my work, creating a space where clients can be real, vulnerable and understood.

Whether you are navigating relationship changes, parenting challenges, trauma recovery, or a desire for greater peace and balance, I collaborates closely with you to create individualized treatment plans that meet you where you are.

Qualifications

I hold a Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Akron, a Montessori Teaching Diploma from the North American Montessori Center, and certification in Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (CPI). Before becoming a therapist, I spent over two decades working with children and families, which deeply shaped my understanding of relational patterns, resilience, and emotional development.

I am an LGBTQ+ ally, neurodivergent affirming and am committed to supporting diverse populations while honoring each client’s lived experience.

Personal Information

Outside of the therapy room, I value life-work balance and intentional living. I enjoy traveling, spending time in nature, being with my family and painting animal portraits—especially dogs—as part of my self-care and creative expression. I am a Sagittarius, my favorite color is red, and my Myers-Briggs personality type is INFJ. I believe deeply in life-work balance and strive—both personally and professionally—to help others experience relationships that feel safe, honest and deeply fulfilling
