My Focus Areas

Kids & Teens: I provide a safe, supportive space where young clients can express their thoughts, feelings, and challenges. Through play, conversation, and evidence-based techniques, I help children build emotional resilience, develop healthy coping skills, and navigate life transitions. My goal is to empower each child to thrive both emotionally and socially.
Anxiety: I help clients understand and manage the thoughts, emotions, and physical symptoms that often accompany anxious experiences. Using evidence-based approaches like cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and mindfulness, I work collaboratively to reduce distress, build resilience, and empower clients to regain a sense of calm and control in their daily lives.
Young Adulthood: I support clients through the unique challenges of emerging adulthood—identity exploration, academic and career pressures, relationship dynamics, and mental health concerns. I provide a nonjudgmental, collaborative space to foster self-awareness, build coping skills, and promote personal growth during this pivotal stage of life.

Approach
Hi! I’m Kayla (she/her), and I’m here to offer a supportive, non-judgmental space where you can reconnect with yourself and grow into the best version of you.
My goal is to work collaboratively with you—celebrating the victories, both big and small, and walking beside you on the harder days. You don’t have to do this alone. I believe in your capacity for change, and I’m here to guide and support you on the journey you’ve so courageously chosen to begin.
My therapeutic approach is eclectic and holistic, grounded in the belief that true well-being involves the connection between mind and body. I understand that no one approach works for everyone, and together we’ll find what feels right for you—your path to wellness is unique.
Qualifications
I have experience working with clients through life transitions, chronic pain, and with children and adolescents. I hold a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Cleveland State University, and have worked with individuals and in intensive outpatient programs (IOP) across a broad age range—from pre-adolescents to adults.
Above all, I believe the therapeutic relationship is the foundation of meaningful work. I bring a calm, friendly presence to each session and strive to create a space where you feel safe to show up as your authentic self.
Personal Information
Outside of work, I love spending time with my dog, Millie, exploring new restaurants, and making memories with family and friends. I am a huge animal lover and volunteer at dog shelters. Restorative yoga is my go-to when I need to settle and reconnect my mind and body. I am a cancer (July birthday) so I feel most at home near any body of water - the ocean is my favorite! I am excited to meet you and walk with you on these next steps our your journey!
